The workshop aimed to provide a basic review of the main steps of strategic planning so that all units in AMBD can proceed to formulate their respective strategic plans. Leveraging on CSPS’ expertise in public policy, the workshop was built on the recent three-day CSPS flagship training programme on Strategic Planning and Strategic Foresight attended by senior officers from various government ministries and agencies, including 12 from AMBD.
Present at the opening was Managing Director of AMBD, Yusof bin Haji Abdul Rahman, who highlighted the importance of developing staff capacity and transformational leadership to anticipate and embrace changes.

She commended AMBD on this bold and positive endeavour to institutionalise strategic planning across all its units and to initiate each unit to formulate their own respective strategic plans as this also encourages buy in from all and practical relevance.
